My God, it's Full of Stars!

This photo doesn't begin to give the night sky justice.

My first real attempt to do some star field photos. 60s exposure at ISO400 with an 11mm f/2.8 lens opened wide. The blur is actually due to the rotation of the earth, and the glow on the bottom is from a single light about a quarter of a mile from my spot in this open field out in the middle of the 54,000 acre Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park.

I'd have tried to take more photos as I started figuring out what did and didn't work, but I was eaten alive out there. I had more than 150 bites on my arms alone, and one week later I'm still woken up in the night by the itching.

Still, I'll definitely be going back out there.
