Sunset on South Mountain

I had the day of December 30th to myself. I decided to drive up South Mountain Park (outside of Phoenix) to watch the sunset. I got many pretty sunset photos during my Arizona journey, but I like this one the best for its austere simplicity. And that lone saguaro peeking out.

Just before I drove out to South Mountain, I got my nipples pierced. Let me tell you, the happy chemicals the brain releases can be a bit unwelcome when you need to keep from falling off the side of a mountain... but the view, and the sunset were a beautiful ending to a very interesting day.

The next day I set out for Sedona by myself. But that's another story for another time. But first, one more bit of eye candy. B&W or color? You decide.
