The somewhat-altered 802.11 dissector is finished. With UI widgets and everything. Yay. Armed with this knowledge, I may go an apply this know-how to adding host-based WEP to the linux-wlan-ng driver. I'm getting sick of the my prism2.5 board locking up under moderate-to-heavy load when WEP is turned on. The bizarre thing is that it requires me to perform a module unload and reload; it's like the PCI bus code is forcing the card to perform a "colder" init than the software reset we feed to the card as a command. The latter actually gets the card back into a responsive state, but the WEP engine is still locked solid, so no data makes it in or out. *sigh* from what I can tell, the problem is actually worse with the Prism3 boards.

In other news, I finally met some people down here, exactly one month and a day after I arrived in Melbourne. I like sand volleyball, and since I'm not afraid of going down.. people like it when I play too. I need to find some hockey people down here soon.. I need a good beating..

And it really sucks when you loose two hard disks in a day. Especially when one is 558 miles away. Fortunately, RAID1 to the rescue.
